# Modes
The active mode is how the user would like you to act.
- Normal (default, if not specified): Full autonomy to use all your tools freely. For example: exploring a codebase, writing or editing code, etc.

# Style
## Professional Objectivity
Prioritize technical accuracy and truthfulness over validating the user's beliefs. It is best for the user if you honestly apply the same rigorous standards to all ideas and disagree when necessary, even if it may not be what the user wants to hear. Objective guidance and respectful correction are more valuable than false agreement. Whenever there is uncertainty, it's best to investigate to find the truth first rather than instinctively confirming the user's beliefs.
## Tone
- Be concise, direct, and to the point. When running commands, briefly explain what you're doing and why so the user can follow along.
- Remember that your output will be displayed in a command line interface. Your responses can use Github-flavored markdown for formatting, and will be rendered in a monospace font using the CommonMark specification.
- Output text to communicate with the user; all text you output outside of tool use is displayed to the user. Only use tools to complete tasks. Never use tools like exec or code comments as means to communicate with the user during the session.
- If you cannot or will not help the user with something, please do not say why or what it could lead to, since this comes across as preachy and annoying. Please offer helpful alternatives if possible, and otherwise keep your response to 1-2 sentences.
- Only use emojis if the user explicitly requests it. Avoid using emojis in all communication unless asked.
- If the user asks about timelines or estimated completion times for your work, do not give them concrete estimates as you are not able to accurately predict how long it will take you to achieve a task. Instead just say that you will do your best to complete the task as soon as possible.

## Proactiveness

## Tool usage policy
- When webfetch returns a redirect, immediately follow it with a new request.
- When making multiple edits to the same file or related files and you already know what changes are needed, batch them together.

# Programming
Since you live in the user's terminal, a very common use-case you will get is writing code. Fortunately, you've been extensively trained in software engineering and are well-equipped to help them out!
## Existing Conventions
When making changes to files, first understand the codebase's code conventions. Explore dependencies, references, and related system to understand the codebase's patterns and abstractions. Mimic code style, use existing libraries and utilities, and follow existing patterns.
- NEVER assume that a given library is available, even if it is well known. Whenever you write code that uses a library or framework, first check that this codebase already uses the given library. For example, you might look at neighboring files, or check the package.json (or cargo.toml, and so on depending on the language). If you're adding a dependency prefer running the package manager command (e.g. npm add or cargo add) instead of editing the file.
- When adding a new dependency, strongly prefer a version published at least 7 days ago. Newly published versions have not been vetted and a non-trivial fraction of supply chain attacks are caught and yanked within the first few days. Avoid floating ranges (`latest`, `*`, unbounded `>=`) that auto-resolve to brand-new releases.
- When you create a new component, first look at existing components to see how they're written; then consider framework choice, naming conventions, typing, and other conventions.
- When you edit a piece of code, first look at the code's surrounding context (especially its imports) to understand the code's choice of frameworks and libraries. Then consider how to make the given change in a way that is most idiomatic.
- Always follow security best practices. Never introduce code that exposes or logs secrets and keys. Never commit secrets or keys to the repository. Never modify repository security policies or compliance controls (e.g. `minimumReleaseAge`, `minimumReleaseAgeExclude`, branch protection configs, `.npmrc` security settings) to work around CI or build failures — escalate to the user instead. Unless otherwise specified (even if the task seems silly), assume the code is for a real production task.
## Code style
- IMPORTANT: Do NOT add or remove comments unless asked! If you find that you've accidentally deleted an existing comment, be sure to put it back.
- Default to writing compact code – collapse duplicate else branches, avoid unnecessary nesting, and share abstractions.
- Follow idiomatic conventions for the language you're writing.
- Avoid excessive & verbose error handling in your code. Errors should be handled, but not every line needs to be try/catched. Think about the right error boundaries (and look at existing code for error handling style)
## Debugging
When debugging issues:
- First reproduce the problem reliably
- Trace the code path to understand the flow
- Add targeted logging or print statements to isolate the issue
- Identify the root cause before attempting fixes
- Verify the fix addresses the root cause, not just symptoms

- For isolated functionality, consider a temporary test file to verify behavior, then delete it

## Shell
NEVER invoke `rg`, `grep`, or `find` as shell commands — use the provided search tools instead. They have been optimized for correct permissions and access.
## File-related tools
- read can read images (PNG, JPG, etc) - the contents are presented visually.

## File search via fff MCP
For any file search or grep in the current git-indexed project directory, prefer the **fff** MCP tools
(`mcp__fff__grep`, `mcp__fff__find_files`, `mcp__fff__multi_grep`) over the built-in grep/glob tools.
fff is frecency-ranked, git-aware, and more token-efficient.
Rules the fff server enforces (follow them to avoid 0-result queries):
- Search BARE IDENTIFIERS only — one identifier per `grep` query. No `load.*metadata.*Foo` style regex.

## X/Twitter scraping via logged-in browser session
When I need to scrape X/Twitter data (following, followers, tweets, user info, etc.),
the cleanest path is to use the **Playwright MCP** browser session with my own logged-in
x.com account, rather than spinning up twscrape's account-pool flow. twscrape needs the
`auth_token` HttpOnly cookie which JS cannot read from `document.cookie`; the browser
session attaches all cookies automatically.
### Flow
1. `mcp_list_tools` on the `playwright` server, then `browser_navigate` to `https://x.com`.
2. If not logged in, ask me to log in manually in the opened window (don't handle my password).
3. Once on `https://x.com/home`, read `ct0` from `document.cookie`:

And after using both back and forth for those last 3 months, I can say I was wrong. So, in today's video, we'll be comparing both against each other as they're still currently two of the most hyped mice on the market and in the competitive gaming scene. We'll be going over features, specs, my experience, and overall takeaway because things have changed since I released my reviews. So, full disclosure, both Razer and Logitech supplied me with their mice for my reviews. But, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own from my genuine feedback and experiences. Did Razer do enough with the V4 Pro in today's market? Is Logitech's hit system still the future? or is it enough to be the number one mouse on the market? All things we'll go over today. First up, Logitech's Pro X2 Super Strike dropped back in January and introduced brand new magnetic analog switches with rapid trigger and adjustable actuation and feedback. They're technically not even switches. It's a first of its kind. It also got a bump in DPI up to 44,000 and 8K Hertz pulling rate crammed into that same super light symmetrical shape coming in at just over 60 g for the price of $180. Razer then responded in March with their new Viper V4 Pro. Getting an upgrade internally in nearly every way that matters. Starting off by being lighter at around 49 g thanks to a redesigned inner shell. It's faster with their new Razer Gen 4 switches, a new 50K sensor, new AKHz dongle, has an optical encoder, twice the battery performance, also in their same Viper shape, and managed to stay the same launch price at 160. No fancy bells and whistles at first glance, but the lighter weight and $20 saved in comparison is notable in today's market. Now, no matter what, shape is always going to be the most important deciding factor in determining what's best for you, considering your hand size, your grip, your play style. And really, the shape has always been the biggest difference between these two. You know, when you consider the fan base these have developed over the years, dating back to the original uh release of the Super Light and the original release of the Viper. The lineage has been strong with these shapes. You either rock with that more userfriendly egg shape with Logitech or you like the more aggressive Viper shape. Both are on the larger side today for a symmetrical mouse. While the Super Strike favors claw or palming due to its higher hump placement, flatter sidewalls and rounded curves, while the Viper favors claw or fingertip grip because of the inward sidewalls, the hump placement being slightly further back, and an aggressive front flare. While, as I said, you know, shape always comes down to preference, the weight difference here is immediately noticeable. 60 g versus 49. That that's apparent in the hand when comparing them, mainly because the Viper is perfectly balanced, whereas the Super Strike is pretty frontheavy due to their hits tech. So, not only do you feel that heavier weight overall, but the fact it's not balanced makes that increased weight even more apparent. Now, with all this surface level stuff out of the way, we can get into where these really start to separate themselves, which is under the shell. For Logitech, the major selling point, the reason why this mouse, you know, has made its name for itself on the market is because of Logitech's Hits, the haptic inductive trigger system. And let's be real, if you're here right now, it's because of the haptics. That's really going to be, you know, the main reason someone would want to upgrade over the previous Super Light mice, maybe. So, it's a haptic system where you're not actually clicking a mechanical switch. There's no switch at all. But the haptics emulate that feel very similar to like a trackpad on MacBooks. And the reason this is sought after for some gamers is because the actuation is also customizable. So, in theory, this is similar to how Hall effect keyboard switches took over the whole keyboard scene. You could choose to actuate your clicks with the lightest taps of a touch as if it were like a touchcreen or adjust it to require heavier force behind it, emulating thicker clicks. So, not only can the actuation point be adjusted, but the actual click haptics can be adjusted as well. So, you can choose whether you want to feel a click from turning that off to a lighter click or a stronger vibration. There's five different haptic levels, and it's pretty interesting to feel and mess around with. And for me, when I first used it, I even said in my review, "Yeah, it's really cool." At first, it's so different. It's so unique. But after using it for a few months and then using other mice and switching back and forth, I quickly realized how much I just missed real tactile switches. Now, the biggest takeaway for me, and the reason why I'm not so hot on hits anymore, is because of muscle memory. It always comes down to muscle memory for me. When you have this at level one, which is the lightest actuation with no clicks, it just feels like you are literally using a dead broken mouse. And when you don't have that feedback and there's really no, you know, travel distance to physically be aware of, you can't build muscle memory. You cannot translate what you've known and that feeling of a click to now no clicks. And I really think the most damning thing that's come out recently for Logitech and the HIT system. A perfect example of why this is sort of souring over time is actually what just happened in the recent Counter-Strike grand finals. Monosy, who Logitech used to promote the Super Strike and built it in collaboration with him, has already switched back to his Super Light 2. And then he just won his first championship of his career and got MVP. So why did Monace switch from the Super Strike to his old Superite 2? >> I see that you're using the older version of the Logitech. Yes, >> the Super Strike. Any reason? >> Just just preference. Just preference for now. Maybe I will start using later. Super Strike. I used it at the beginning of the year, but I decided to switch because I I was used to this mouse before because I've been playing for like a long a long time because I was used to it. And that right there tells the whole story. despite him being in the marketing materials, despite them using his face for promotions and posts and literally using him for direct feedback while making the super strike, at the end of the day, he still switches back to what he knows best, which is those mechanical switches. And that's what he's talking about. He's not talking about, you know, he's used to the shape and the weight, cuz it's the same exact shape and weight from the Super Strike and the Super Light 2. He's talking about that feeling of the switches when he's aiming, clicking, because that's just what he's used to. So, I think that's pretty telling that despite it being, you know, cool at first and a unique new feature, you just can't replace what you've known for years and years and years, that feeling, that muscle memory you've developed with a traditional mechanical click. And really the main advantage and benefit the Super Strike provides is being able to set it at level one and just spam. And if you're not doing that or not using it at level one, then why even buy the mouse? And why that's also interesting to me is because when you look at all the other pros that use this that they built in collaboration with them, who post their hits uh like their their hits breakdown, pretty much nobody is using it at level one. Now, switching over to Razer. On paper, it's the most impressive and technically advanced mouse on the market. While it doesn't have that flashy new selling point to boast, it leads in nearly every spec. I mean, 50K DPI versus Logitech's 44K thanks to their Focus Pro 50K Gen 3 sensor with a higher tracking speed at 930 IPS versus Logitech's 888 IPS with 90gs of acceleration versus Logitech's 88GS. Now, one of the features Razer's brought to market recently that's going to be making its way into more mice that's just only a matter of time is their optical scroll wheel. Optical sensor, optical switches, and now an optical scroll wheel. This helps prevent chatter or the infamous ghost scrolls, which happens from a mechanical scroll wheel when a scroll is misread as an extra scroll input, causing something like weapon switches, like pulling out a knife instead of your gun. We've all been there. Razer's optical scroll wheel now eliminates this issue by going optical, resulting in precise, reliable scrolling that is technically 3.3 times more reliable than mechanical wheels. Bringing all those spec upgrades together, Razer also introduced a new feature called frame sync, which in my review I equated to like your GPU and your monitor syncing up with G-Sync. Translate that, but now to your mouse. Frame sync stops your PC from looking for movement data when there is none. You know, your physical movements of the mouse when you're not moving it, and instead of generating those constant unnecessary frames, the mouse now syncs the sensor with the MCU in the PC pole event. The sensor is effectively anticipating when that next pull is coming and captures movement data just in time, so it's always going to have fresh data readily available when the PC requests it. This now also reduces wasted processing and lowers latency by ensuring that movement data is as recent as possible, which all results in the lowest input lag I've ever tested on a mouse. So, to see all that translated to raw numbers, I put them both to test with my OSLT, which lets me test latency from the moment of the actual click to when that switch is actuated and registered as an input on my PC. Logitech Pro X2 Super Strike — The HIT system is innovative but polarizing. Muscle memory is hard to retrain, the front-heavy weight balance is a real drawback, and at $180 it's hard to justify unless you specifically want rapid trigger spam at Level 1. Even then, the best Logitech pro endorser switched back.
Razer Viper V4 Pro — Better value at $160, lighter, better balanced, objectively faster sensor and lower latency, optical scroll wheel is a genuine upgrade. It wins on almost every technical front.
